Star Wars: Boba Fett Standalone Movie Still In Development?
it looks like the Star Wars universe's most popular bounty hunter may have a new lease on life.
There's was a time when director Josh Trank was working on bringing Boba Fett back to the big screen for a Star Wars standalone movie. However, things went sour on the project. Trank departed and the Boba Fett standalone movie was shuffled off of the Lucasfilm schedule and replaced with Han Solo: A Star Wars Story.
But if a Sarlacc couldn't kill Boba Fett, then why would a production hiccup? Omega Underground has spotted a production listing for the still untitled Boba Fett movie, suggesting the film is still in some stage of development at Lucasfilm.
The listing suggests Boba Fett will be filmed in London, like the rest of Disney'sStar Wars movies. The film description on the listing describes the Boba Fett movie as, "An origin story if the galaxy's most notorious bounty hunter. Boba Fett is a Mandalorian warrior who was trained by his father-figure, Jango Fett and became a notorious bounty hunter throughout the galaxy."We already know about Boba's relationship to Jango and how it came to a grisly end in Attack of the Clones. We've also seen Boba Fett pop up as a young bounty hunter in Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series. A Boba Fett standalone movie would presumably shed light on the period of Boba's life between The Clone Wars and his appearance in The Empire Strikes Back.
