Sigourney Weaver Talks About Her Role In Marvel's The Defenders

Alien actress Sigourney Weaver may be formidable enough to take on four Defenders, but don't expect to see her popping up in the Marvel movie universe right away.

"I'm very happy being in the Marvel with a small 'M,'" Weaver told Movies.com in an interview that discussed both her work with Marvel's Netflix series The Defenders and her forthcoming Avatar sequels with director James Cameron.

Weaver talked about the incredible process of shooting the Avatar sequels all together -- four of them -- while also doing A Monster Calls, an effects-heavy adaptation of a children's favorite.

"Meanwhile, I am doing The Defenders, which is a lot of fun," she said. "It has a wonderful cast, and we're doing it right here in New York, which means a lot to me
