Wonder Woman Run As U.N. Ambassador Ends After Protests
Of course she will - she is WONDER WOMAN!
In case you are worried, Simmon's also said that the special edition Wonder Woman comic for empowering young women and girls is still set for next year whether she is an ambassador or not.
Thank goodness, no matter what Wonder Woman is wearing it doesn't change her core message of strength, courage, and power!
Just a few days ago, Wonder Woman movie director Patty Jenkins had this to say about the character:
"...it has been incredible to make something about a superhero that stands for a message of fighting for a loving, thoughtful government…It’s been a special process to make something with the beautiful message that it’s difficult to be a hero and stay kind and thoughtful in everything that you do. There’s going to be a lot of conversation about her being a woman in these times, but I think the greatest part about the character is that she’s so much bigger than all of that.”

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Joining Gadot in the international cast are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. Patty Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg, based on characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.
