The Walking Dead: Chandler Riggs Says Carl Was Ready To Die

It's high time for Carl to get back in the house.
The child of the apocalypse nearly got himself killed in Episode 7x07 of The Walking Dead (Sing Me A Song) as he recklessly snuck into Negan's compound in an effort to take out the guy who killed his friends.
According to Carl actor Chandler Riggs, Carl did not expect to make it out of the Sanctuary alive. He was willing to die to kill the man who killed Abraham and Glenn in front of him, unlike the rest of the bunch surrounding him at Alexandria. Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick asked Riggs about the brave (or foolish) moments following the episode.
"I definitely think that that scene with Enid in Episode 5 was like a final goodbye type of thing," Riggs said. "I don't think Carl expected to make it out of there alive because he knows that if he kills Negan then they'll just mow him down and someone else will just take his place. I think Carl definitely thought it was a suicide mission and he wasn't coming back.Carl's death, however, has still been a topic of conversation for weeks. Shortly after Riggs was accepted to college, his father announced on Facebook that he had completed a 7-year contract with the hit show. Many fans suspect Riggs will go off to college, spelling major trouble for Carl's future by the end of Season 7. Still, it is important to consider that Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus also renegotiated their contracts recently, so Riggs is likely eligible to do the same.
