Arrow: Felicity To Do Morally Questionable Things In Back Half Of Season 5

Despite enduring many hardships, such as being shot, becoming temporarily paralyzed, getting fired from her company, and feeling guilty about nuking Havenrock, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) had found a way to stay chipper and take pleasure in making geeky references, but after what took place in the midseason finale — Promethus duped Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) into killing her boyfriend, Detective Billy Malone (Tyler Ritter) — we won't see her smiling or making silly quips any time soon.
“Felicity has set her sights on Prometheus,” Executive Producer Wendy Mericle told TV Line. “This season we have said we’re going to take her to a darker place, and you’re seeing the genesis of the reason why, right here.” She added, Felicity “is going to meet some people who are both a bit tied to her past but also very much tied to this new future she’s contemplating, and that’s going to draw her away from the team and lead her to do some things that are pretty morally questionable.”
While she takes this dark turn, fans can rest easy knowing Felicity won't play the blame game with her former fiancĂ©e. “One thing Felicity is not going to do, I can tell you for sure, is blame Oliver,” Mericle assured.
