Tom Payne Reveals The Walking Dead Deleted Scene
The most action-packed moment from the last episode of The Walking Dead was when Sasha, Maggie, and Jesus heroically dealt with the Savior's zombie-induced attack.
At the Hilltop community, in the middle of the night, Maggie and Sasha are awakened by the sound of Sibelius’ “Finlandia” blaring. When Sasha looks out the window to see what the ruckus is, she sees multiple fires burning and a parked car (responsible for the loud music) in the courtyard, and a large number of walkers walking past the community's gates.
After watching that scene unfold, I'm sure many people were left with a couple questions. Why were the gates unsecured and open? Why didn't any of the other Hilltop residents come out and help?
Fortunately for us, Rodney Ho of AJC's Radio & TV Talk chatted with Jesus himself, Tom Payne, and he explained that scenes were left on the cutting room floor that would've filled in those blanks.Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, The Walking Dead reigns as television’s most watched drama for adults 18-49 and tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse, and follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home.
The series stars Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Chandler Riggs as Carl, Lauren Cohan as Maggie, Danai Gurira as Michonne, Melissa McBride as Carol, Sonequa-Martin Green as Sasha, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan.
The Walking Dead is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse.
