Game of Thrones Season 7 Rumors Hint at Family Conflict
Game of Thrones season 7 continues production, which means that die-hard fans and bloggers are combing through every detail of production, looking for juicy spoilers about where these uncharted roads through Westeros are leading us.
Winter is Coming has a new report that drops some tasty details about where season 7 could be headed; hint: it involves battles between esteemed families of Westeros, as well as possible conflict within the ranks of certain families. Read on for details, but obviously, SPOILER WARNING for Game of Thrones season 7!
Stark Rivals
Winter is Coming reports that season 7 will see a reunion between Stark family siblings Arya, Sansa and Bran - but it won't necessarily be a happy one. Sansa and Arya are mentioned as being particularly standoffish, as they've evolved into very different sorts of people Littlefinger will allegedly exploit that bad blood to his own advantage.
Lannister v Tyrell v Targaryen
Another rumor involves a battle that will supposedly take place in Highgarden, between Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and a Tyrell army, led by bannerman Randyll Tarly (James Faulkner). After Cersei flash-fried Margaery, Loras and their father Mace, it's understandable that the Tyrells and all of their bannermen are out for vengeance; and it sounds like they'll have a powerful ally.
An additional rumor about the 'battle at Highgarden' says that Danaerys and his army and armada will ambush the Lannister forces, helping to win the day. Lady Olenna (aka The Queen of Thorns) will have a hand in bringing down the Lannister army and forming an alliance with Danaerys, no doubt, and it's a battle we're looking forward to.
Mormont Cure
Finally, a rumor states that another Game of Thrones character crossover will happen, in the form of Iain Glen's Jorah Mormont crossing paths with Samwell Tarly in Oldtown.
Sam will reportedly work with Jorah in order to cure the latter's greyscale disease. Sam's attachment to Night's Watch commander Mormont (Jorah's father) will motivate him to save Jorah (since he couldn't save Commander Mormont).
****
All in all, Game of Thrones season 7 is shaping up to be a storyline where major things happen in much quicker succession. Then again, with only so much story left tell, things kind of have to move faster.
Game of Thrones will return in summer 2017 for season 7
