MARVEL UPCOMING MOVIES WHICH ARE BEEN EXPECTED BY VIEWER

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - May 5, 2017

Queue up the Awesome Mix Volume 2! The Guardians of the Galaxy will return inGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in 2017, bringing Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) back together for their next big adventure. James Gunn is set to return to write and direct, bringing his particular style back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

At this stage, very little is known about the plot of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but we do know that some key characters will be coming back and introduced on the big screen for the first time. Karen Gillan and Michael Rooker are set to reprise their respective roles as Nebula and Yondu, while brilliant new additions include Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and Kurt Russell as Star-Lord's father, Ego The Living Planet.

Doctor Strange - November 4, 2016

Doctor Strange makes its debut in the fall of 2016, with Benedict Cumberbatch set to play the titular brilliant, arrogant surgeon whose life takes a turn when he gets in a terrible car accident and permanently damages his hands. Searching the world over for some kind of cure, he's eventually taken in by a sorcerer who trains him in the art of magic. 

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been mostly science-fiction-based to this point, Doctor Strange will introduce a whole different side of the Marvel world in the comics, and it's expected to be quite the trippy adventure. Not only will we be some serious spell-casting, but fans have been promised plenty of inter-dimensional hopping as well. Scott Derrickson is set to direct, and Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Mads Mikkelson will play supporting roles. 

Thor: Ragnarok - November 3, 2017

The only main characters from The Avengers: Age of Ultron who weren't in Captain America: Civil War are Thor and The Hulk - but fortunately we'll get to see both of those characters again in Phase 3. The God of Thunder and the green monster will be teaming up on an adventure in Thor: Ragnarok, and judging from the title, things are going to get damn-near apocalyptic. 

Not much is really known about the development or plot of Thor: Ragnarok, but What We Do In The Shadows director Taika Waititi is at the helm, suggesting that we should expect some levity to go along with all the large-scale action. Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo are obviously on board, but the film also features a ridiculous ensemble including Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban, Anthony Hopkins, and Tessa Thompson
